Focusing Genomic Research

About Us

In 2003, Drs. Ramin Homayouni and Michael Berry pioneered a unique approach (patent pending) for mining MEDLINE abstracts and other biological texts in such a way that latent relationships between genes can be identified to improve interpretation of discovery oriented genomic data and predict new research targets. In founding Computable Genomix, we are capitalizing on the demand for the technology in research and development labs in both public and private sectors.

Computable Genomix is a bioinformatics company, operating from Memphis, Tennessee, that helps researchers interpret high throughput genomic data within the context of freely and privately available research documents. Our systems make use of the latest technologies in computational linguistics, data mining, and artificial intelligence allowing researchers to rapidly mine the biomedical literature for large gene datasets and to make mechanistic or functional predictions that were not previously possible. In the end we save researchers both time and money.
